TOP 10 MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES
1. The Chefs de Cuisine Association of America, Inc. is one of the oldest chef associations in the United States. We are 110 years young and still going strong, respecting and cherishing our past with a strong headwind into the future of our industry. Our board and general membership have included the likes of Auguste Escoffier, celebrity chef, restaurateur and culinary writer, who popularized and updated traditional French cooking methods. Hermann Reiner, our present president, was executive chef of the internationally acclaimed Windows on the World restaurant on the 107th floor of One World Trade Center, which will forever have a place in all our hearts. Many of the cooks and chefs that have kept the New York restaurant and hospitality scene alive for all these years, honoring their craft every day, have been proud members of our organization.
2. You are invited to visit our own condominium office in the heart of Manhattan, located at 301 East 45th Street, at the corner of Second Avenue. Please let us know if you would like to take a tour of our facility.
3. The Association offers very reasonable membership fees in order to maintain our all-inclusive philosophy.
4. The Association is a financially sound organization. Our conservative dues provide funding for our day-to-day operations and events. This strategy ensures a sound future for our organization.
5. The Association supports our local culinary institutions of higher learning, such as The New York City College of Technology (City Tech - CUNY) Hospitality Management Department. We attend their annual commencement ceremony, which is preceded by a luncheon prepared and served by the graduating class. At that event, we recognize outstanding students with scholarships and awards from our organization, encouraging them to progress and hone their skills in their chosen profession.
6. Monthly board and membership meetings take place on Zoom or in person from September through June, with a general meeting every June in the office.
7. We keep our lines of communication open via social media on Facebook, Instagram, Threads and LinkedIn. Members can view our activities, photos and upcoming events. All of our communications are by email. Please make sure your email address and mobile phone number are updated in our records.
8. The Association will include you at our annual gala at no charge. Tickets to other events are available at a reduced charge for you and a guest.
9. The Association can assist you in composing, updating and proofreading your resume. We also can employ social media to enhance your job search.
10. We have established a 501(c)(3) charitable scholarship foundation, allowing us to expand our scholarship offerings and deepen our support of the next generation. We invite you to share this initiative with your network of chefs and purveyors. You make a tax-exempt donation with GoFundMe.
