Meet Our President

Hermann Reiner serves as President of the Chefs de Cuisine Association of America, Inc., bringing a lifetime of dedication to the hospitality industry.

A native of Austria, Reiner built a distinguished 22-year career with Hilton International Hotels, holding progressive leadership roles across properties in Düsseldorf, Caracas, London, Tehran and Vienna before relocating to New York City.

He went on to spend more than 13 years with Inhilco Inc., a subsidiary of Hilton International, where he served as Executive Chef of the world-renowned Windows on the World and as Director of Operations for all 12 restaurants at the World Trade Center. Throughout his career, Reiner has held senior leadership roles including Food and Beverage Director at the Shanghai Hilton, Area Food and Beverage Director for Hilton in the New German States, and Corporate Food and Beverage Director for Medallion Hotels in the United States and Hampshire Hotels in New York City. He is also the co-author of the food section of The Wine and Food Book of Windows on the World (Sterling, 1986).

Reiner’s contributions to the culinary profession have been recognized with numerous international honors, including gold medals at the Internationale Kochkunstausstellung (IKA) in Frankfurt, the Wiener Internationale Kochkunstausstellung in Vienna, and the Salon Culinaire Mondial in Basel, as well as First Place at the Annual Salon of Culinary Arts in New York City. Under his leadership as Executive Chef, Cellar in the Sky at Windows on the World earned an 18-point rating from Gault Millau. He was later awarded the prestigious Golden Roulette Ball Award by Gault Millau and Casino Austria, recognizing Austrian leaders in the global hospitality industry.

In addition to his culinary achievements, Reiner is the proprietor of VISTA-Hospitality International, LLC, an executive search and recruitment firm specializing in placing top hospitality talent worldwide. He remains an active member of both the Food and Beverage Association of America and the Chefs Association of America.

Based in Manhattan with his wife Lucille, Reiner continues to champion the future of the culinary profession. As President of the Chefs de Cuisine Association of America, Inc., he is focused on modernizing the organization and expanding its reach through digital platforms, connecting chefs and culinarians across local, national and global communities.
